Future United: STEAM Day 2025 - 300 middle school students take over Valencia College in the pursuit to learn about STEAM fields. Local businesses shared their expertise to help make the day as meaningful as possible for the students. One example of how your business could get involved.

Host a Unique Team Building Day

  • Participate in College & Career Workshops & Fairs

  • Participate in Future United: STEAM Days (FUSD)

  • Serve as a host site for industry exposure events & tours

Encourage your employees to Volunteer with uplifted

  • They can serve as a FAFSA Coach and help students (high school and adult) with financial aid forms. They would get trained to answer questions about the Federal Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) and work at school and community events to help others access money for college.

  • They can join one of our Impact Teams.

  • They can serve as a VITA Volunteer and help individuals file their taxes accurately which will help in the FAFSA completion process. You as a business could also become a VITA Site.

  • Promote or expand your company’s education benefits, such as tuition reimbursement. Encouraging your employees to return to school can help strengthen your internal talent pool, build employee loyalty and attract new employees.

  • Share information about educational opportunities and financial aid with your employees and relevant constituents.

  • Develop a mentoring or coaching program to support employees as they go back to school.

  • Offer internships. Internships provide critical real-world experience to students and can often help employers discover new talent for their organization.
